HOTELS & HOSPITALITY / FIRE DOORS & JOINERY

Fire doors for
hotels & hospitality.

Guest-room entrances, shared corridors and staff areas. Fire-door works and joinery considered together, with finishes, room availability and daily operations built into the project brief.

FOR HOTEL OPERATORS & PROPERTY TEAMS

THE FINISH MATTERS / SO DOES THE PROGRAMME

Guest-facing finish.
Clearly defined performance.

Hotels, guest accommodation and hospitality venues use doors in different ways. Separate sleeping accommodation from public and back-of-house areas in the brief so the intended use and requirements of each opening are clear.

Whether the brief concerns bedroom entrances, shared corridors or staff areas, send the door schedule and existing findings. We discuss specification, finishes and access before agreeing the proposed programme.

01

Fire door surveys

Survey the specified doors using room and floor references that match the property's records. Findings can then be connected to the correct guest-room entrance, corridor or staff-area opening when work is proposed.

02

Fire door installation

Install new or replacement fire door sets to the agreed specification. Discuss the door, frame, glazing where relevant, hardware and finish together, particularly where the work must fit within an established interior scheme.

03

Maintenance & repairs

Review closing faults, damaged seals and worn fittings in frequently used doors. Identify suitable repairs and further investigation needs before discussing a maintenance programme around access and room availability.

04

Fire risk assessments

Discuss a fire risk assessment for the property's use, including sleeping accommodation where present. An assessment considers the wider premises and arrangements, beyond the condition of individual door assemblies.

05

Carpentry & joinery

Interior doors, linings, architraves, skirting and bespoke joinery can be included in a hospitality refurbishment brief. Supply the finish schedule and explain which areas must match existing detailing, keeping decorative preferences aligned with the required fire-door specification.

PROJECT PLANNING / HOSPITALITY

Agree the finish.
Coordinate the installation.

The right assembly.
A coordinated finish.

A hospitality project brings operational and decorative requirements into the same opening. Confirm the required door assembly, hardware and surrounding finish together, then identify when the room or work area can be made available.

Room availability, deliveries and permitted working hours should be considered with the specification. Where locks, access control or other interfaces involve another supplier, identify the responsible contact and agree the sequence before the programme is confirmed.

A PRACTICAL PLAN / FROM BRIEF TO HANDOVER

Plan around
rooms and operations.

Send the property address, door schedule and relevant survey or assessment. Identify guest-room entrances separately from corridors, public areas and staff accommodation or workspaces.

Tell us when rooms or floors can be made available, what noise restrictions apply and how deliveries and material storage are managed. Include busy periods and the person who can authorise access changes. A phased programme can then be discussed against real availability and the agreed scope.

01

Review the rooms

Provide door references, existing findings and the finish schedule. Separate guest-room entrances from public and back-of-house areas.

02

Agree the sequence

Discuss room availability, working hours and deliveries. Identify lock or access-control suppliers whose work needs to be coordinated.

03

Complete & document

We carry out the agreed works and record the outcome, including any remaining items for the property or operations team.
